TRIATHLON 101 CLASS

This class is designed primarily for beginner triathletes and those who need a refresher. This will be a hands-on workout and instruction class. We will be swimming, biking, and running as well as working on transitions, learning about bike maintenance and swim technique. We will be covering brick workouts (bike to run) and lots of other triathlon-related items such as changing a flat tire, what to wear, how to take off a wetsuit and much, much more.  You won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind class.  This class will be from April 30, 2008 through June 4, 2008.  If this class fills, there will be an additional class offered from June 18, 2008 through July 23, 2008.  The cost is $129. TRIATHLON 102 CLASS

This class is a follow-up to Triathlon 101; however, you do not have to take Tri 101 to take this class.  This class is primarily a workout class incorporating track running, hills, open water swimming, advanced transitions, advanced triathlon racing skills and much more.  This class is designed to give a variety of multi-sport workouts and a chance to meet and train with others from the area.  The class runs for 4 weeks and the cost is $99.  Currently, there is a date set for June 18; however, this class will turn into a Tri 101 class if there is not enough participation for a 102 class.  To sign up, please call 425-771-4030 or click HERE to sign up online.

ONLINE TRIATHLON CLASS:  TRIATHLON 101

This class is designed primarily for beginner triathletes and those who need a refresher.  It is a 6-week learn as you go class.  By the end of this 6-week class, you will know what a triathlon is (if you don’t already) inside and out.  You will know how to navigate a transition area.  You will learn how to set up a simple training program.  You will know how to test your heart rates and use them if you choose in your training.  You will be able to feel confident about swimming, cycling and running and putting them together for a triathlon.  You will know what to wear, how to find races in your area and which races might be good for you to pick for your first or subsequent triathlons.  You will learn techniques in all three sports as well as maintenance information for your equipment.  The cost is $99.  The class begins January 29 and runs for 6 weeks.  To register, please send an email to dcsuitercoaching@comcast.net and request a registration form.  Payment must be received by January 28, 2008  to participate.

ONLINE TRIATHLON CLASS:  USING HEART RATES FOR TRAINING

In this class, you will learn to use your heart rates for triathlon training.  Learn how to test your heart rates and use them to your advantage.  This class is designed for beginner and intermediate triathletes.  Take the guess work out of perceived exertion and train smarter.  This is a 4-week learn as you go class.  The cost is $79.  The class begins January 29 and runs for 4 weeks.  To register, please send an email to dcsuitercoaching@comcast.net and request a registration form.  Payment must be received by January 28, 2008 to participate.

ONLINE TRIATHLON CLASS:  SETTING UP A TRIATHLON TRAINING PLAN

This class is designed for beginner and intermediate triathletes.  It is a 6-week learn as you go class.  By the end of this 6-week class, you will have a triathlon training plan designed specifically for you.  Learn about cycles and periodization.  Learn to train smarter, not longer or harder.  Design a program that fits in with your unique lifestyle and learn about time management for triathletes with jobs, children and lives outside of our sport.  The cost for this class is $99.  The class begins in January 2008 and runs for 6 weeks.  To register, please send an email to dcsuitercoaching@comcast.net and request a registration form.  Payment must be received prior to the start of class to participate.

HEART RATE TESTING

Want to take the guess work out of training and train smarter?  Test yourself on the bike or run and get accurate heart rates for your training program.  Run testing is 20 minutes on the treadmill and bike testing is 40 minutes on a trainer.  You will receive heart rate levels, explanations and test results within a few days of testing.  Call DC Suiter Coaching to schedule an appointment today.  All testing will be performed at the Lynnwood Recreation Center through DC Suiter Coaching, hosted by the Lynnwood Parks and Recreation Department.  The cost is $39 for run testing and $49 for bike testing, both are plus tax.

TRACK SERIES

We are now taking names and dates for a weekly track series to be held in the Spring of 2008.  The series will be 4 weeks in duration and will be held at the Meadowdale High School track in Lynnwood.  Speed work at your own pace; work on intervals, pacing and more.  Push yourself toward greater leg speed.  The series will be held on 4 consecutive Sundays from 7-8am.  The cost is $29 plus tax for the series or $10 drop in.  Sign up with DC Suiter Coaching via email or phone 425-478-4176.

TRANSITION CLINICS

There are four events in triathlon, the swim, the bike, the run and the transition.  This clinic is designed for beginner through advanced triathletes who are either competing in their first triathlon or looking to cut time from their overall triathlon.  There will be several dates in 2008. If you are interested in attending, please email us to get your name on the list.  The cost of this clinic is $10 plus tax.

WINTER CYCLING TRAINER CLASS

This class is designed for off-season triathletes and cyclists, and others who want to work out indoors on their bike with a group of others. Work on cadence, speed, strength, and pedal stroke. You must bring your own trainer to class.  You can also purchase a trainer from the instructor with a minimum of 1 week notice prior to the start of class.  There are no class dates scheduled at this time.  Please email us to get your name on the waiting list.  The class will be held at the Lynnwood Recreation Center.
